Extraordinary efforts are needed to develop preventive and curative therapies for type 1 diabetes and related autoimmune diseases. A major bottleneck is detection of people at risk for developing these diseases.
DiaUnion is establishing an infrastructure for early detection of type 1 diabetes and related autoimmune diseases in the Øresund region. At the Medicon Valley Alliance Annual Summit and 25th Anniversary on November 7, the cross-border collaboration around this effort was presented by Maria Sherman and Flemming Pociot.
