DiaUnion begins screening for type 1 diabetes and two related autoimmune diseases

Sweden and Denmark are among the countries with the highest type 1 diabetes prevalence in the world. Both countries have a long tradition of excellent research and treatment, and the DiaUnion diabetes project has been bridgebuilding between the two countries since 2020. With a new grant from the EU Interreg programme, screening for type 1 diabetes and two related autoimmune diseases is now underway.
