Julie Hviid Klæbel, PostDoc researcher, Ph.D. has today received one of the Danish Diabetes Association’s research grants of DKK 600,000.
She will work in DiaUnion to establish a screening program that will find first-degree relatives of people with type 1 diabetes. The aim is to follow and guide people at high risk of type 1 diabetes with a view to being able to start early treatment with insulin. And in the long term, to offer trials with new preventive treatments.
